Life transitions
Navigate change, uncertainty, loss, and new roles while staying connected to your values and strengths.
Nichole Cruz, MS, LMHC
When life changes, depression, or anxiety makes everything feel heavier, individual counseling can give you room to breathe, understand what’s happening, and move forward with practical support.
Support that meets you where you are
I offer telehealth counseling to adults across Florida, with a local focus on Davenport and the Four Corners communities where Polk, Osceola, Orange, and Lake counties meet—including underserved areas where mental health options may be limited.
Navigate change, uncertainty, loss, and new roles while staying connected to your values and strengths.
Make space for what feels heavy while finding realistic steps toward relief, energy, and connection.
Understand anxious thought patterns, steady intense emotions, and build tools you can use between sessions.
Slow down the pressure, identify what is within your control, and practice sustainable ways to cope.
Explore self-doubt, shame, and identity concerns with compassion instead of judgment.
Your spiritual beliefs can be honored and thoughtfully included when that is part of the care you want.
A focus on life transitions
My practice centers on the moments when life asks you to become someone new. I bring both professional experience and firsthand understanding to the work.
Divorce, career changes, new parenthood, relocation, and starting over can affect your identity, relationships, and sense of direction. Therapy gives you room to understand what is changing and decide what comes next.
I offer therapy for formerly incarcerated adults who are adjusting to a new way of life. This work focuses on emotional health, relationships, identity, and coping—not case management.
I served 5.5 years in the military and was also married to someone in the military. I understand firsthand the shifts in identity, routine, relationships, and purpose that can come with military-to-civilian transition.
A relationship built on trust
We move at your pace. You deserve to feel heard, supported, and hopeful.
Hello and welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, especially when you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of yourself. My goal is to create a space where adults feel safe, heard, and respected without judgment.
My therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, and person-centered care. Together, we can work toward insight, emotional resilience, practical coping tools, and greater self-compassion.
I serve Davenport and the wider Four Corners area, where Polk, Osceola, Orange, and Lake counties come together, as well as adults statewide across Florida through telehealth. I’m committed to making counseling more reachable for adults in underserved areas. Faith-based support is available when you ask for it; otherwise, our work remains grounded in your own goals, values, and preferences.
What therapy can look like
You don’t need the perfect words or a complete explanation of everything you’ve been through. Therapy begins with what feels important today.
Your first session is a relaxed conversation about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and what support might look like.
We explore the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and strengths that shape how you respond to life’s challenges.
You’ll develop strategies you can use outside of sessions—grounded in your goals, values, and real life.
Therapy is collaborative. We keep checking what’s helping, what needs to change, and what progress means to you.
Private pay
$150
per telehealth session
Private-pay sessions are held through Doxy.me, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. You can pay one session at a time, or choose a prepaid block of sessions when you want the consistency of having time set aside for the work.
Some people choose private pay because they do not want insurance involved. Your information is not sent to an insurance company, so there is no insurance claim or insurance-required diagnosis added to an insurer’s permanent record. Your care stays between you and me, with the same legal and ethical limits of confidentiality that apply to all therapy.
Personal writings & reflections
A quieter space for personal essays, memory, relationships, and the questions that linger after the day grows still.
Midnight Drift
Under the pen name Nichole Cruz | Midnight Drift, I write from lived experience—about family, identity, forgiveness, change, and the meanings we make along the way.
This writing space is separate from my therapy practice. These are personal reflections, not clinical guidance, therapy, or a substitute for mental health care.
